What happened with the Sperti Vitamin D lamp in Canada?
Health Canada pulled Sperti lamps from the market in 2026 because their devices require a Medical Device Licence to be legally sold in Canada, which they currently lack. Consequently, it is not permitted for retailers to advertise or sell these UV sunlamps to Canadians without the appropriate regulatory approval. Following the ruling, Sperti effectively blocked Canadians from accessing their website. SolRx lamps are currently the only lamps with a Health Canada Medical Device License.
